How to give the flowers?

Well.. I have to go to a birthday party but it%26#039;s at a restaurant.. I thought of a boquet of flowers but they%26#039;ll die by the time we leave since the lifetime of flowers isn%26#039;t very long without a vase. So I%26#039;m getting this little amount of flowers in a tiny vase it looks nice, but i%26#039;d feel funny giving such a thing. Is it normal to give such a thing on a birthday party? Thanks for your replies. It%26#039;s just a random and silly question =]

How to give the flowers?
I think its beautiful and thoughtful.

Anyone would be happy with such a gift...

i know i would :)

plus its fine for a birthday party!!!!
Reply:then put water in the vase
Reply:Due to the fact that tables are small in restaurants, there really isn%26#039;t much space, I would not bring the flowers to the restaurant. Instead, take them by the birthday person%26#039;s place before the event, or have them sent by the florist. That way, big or small, they won%26#039;t get knocked over, there will be space for them, and they will not wilt, and you do not have to ask a waiter to go get you water for them. And the recipient will not have a problem getting them home, either.

I always think that part of the thoughtfulness of gift giving is the timeliness, and finding the right present, for the right person and place. For instance, you would not give chocolates on a hundred degree day, at a restaurant miles away from the recipeint%26#039;s house, they would melt before they got them across the parking lot, let alone home. You would not give a skimpy Fredrick%26#039;s of Hollywood nighty to your Grandma at her 60th birthday party held at the church.

Hope this helps.
Reply:Its thoughtful, but if you are worried that the flowers will die then have you thought of having the flowers delivered by the florist to the birthday persons home? Or maybe buy the birthday person a bouquet of the month subscription. I know some florists do that around my area. Check it out. It might be something kind of different as a gift and then its sort of like the gift that keeps on giving in a way. Good luck.
Reply:I think that is very thoughtful. Don%26#039;t worry about it!
Reply:make sure it%26#039;s a cute vase and let the rest flow.. it will be just fine! you should feel yourself comfortable with it and so will feel the rest!
