Do men like to receive flowers at the office?

I%26#039;m thinking about having flowers delivered to my husbands office for his birthday today. Not a large arrangement, just something small.


Men- if your wife sent you flowers at work, would you be ok with that?

My husband says he%26#039;s not into it, my friend Mike says he doesn%26#039;t see why not. Not being a guy, I won%26#039;t offer a personal opinion.

Reply:Absolutely. Though men tend to prefer what%26#039;s called %26quot;High Style%26quot; or %26quot;Oriental%26quot; arrangements. Bright colors; stay away from pink and pastels. Striking flowers and textures are good - Bird of Paradise, miniature iris, protea, interesting greenery like Bear Grass, ...





Make sure the florist knows this is going to a man.
Reply:no guys dont want flowers at thier office. Any guy that says they do is lying, it would be embarassing to get a boquet of flowers delivered to your place of employment.
Reply:a man person that i work with recieved flowers for his birthday from a girlfriend he was really shocked and happy that he got them :) he said he had never recieved flowers before and he really liked it :)

Reply:The only guy I know that got flowers at work was gay, and even HE was embarrassed. Cook him some food or take him out to lunch. Guys like food. Heck, I%26#039;m pretty sure everyone LIKES food.





You could give him a bouquet of food gift cards. I like 7-eleven ones best.
Reply:I%26#039;d like it personally. It%26#039;s a nice surprise. As for the %26quot;men don%26#039;t like flowers%26quot; types, there%26#039;s really not much else you can send him besides food. Which isn%26#039;t a bad idea. If you send your husband some Pizza he%26#039;ll enjoy it and will be able to share that more easily with his co-workers.

Reply:My husbands getting flowers in an hour at work. Its our 6th anniversary, I send him flowers all the time to work. Something very small, not feminine and usually with a coffee cup or food of some kind in the gift pack. He loves it.

I appreciated her thoughtfulness—I really did, but I didn’t know what the hell I was supposed to do with the flowers. I kept them on my desk that first day, and I just felt like a frickin idiot having them there. I don’t like to draw a lot of attention to myself, and that’s all those things did—draw attention to me. I put them in our break room, and left them there until they died.





Send your husband balloons instead.
Reply:It depends on the guy. We all have our %26quot;love language.%26quot; For me, an internet card from my wife telling me how much she loves me is far greater than getting some flowers. Think about what your husband likes the most. Too often, we give people things that we%26#039;d like to get ourselves.

Depending where he works and with whom, you could send pizza, bagels, or something like that. A birthday cake might work best and be the most appropriate.

Reply:I wanted to do that for my husband also, but just wasn%26#039;t sure it was a very good idea. I compromised with a basket of sliced, chocolate covered fruit arranged to look like a bouquet of flowers (you really have to see it). He loved it!! I believe the site is ediblearrangements.com.

Flowers don%26#039;t have the same appeal as ...say... a gift card to an electronic store.





If you wanted something that would %26quot;display%26quot; your affection, anything that lights up, is electronic and flashes would probably be more appreciated.





But, hey, maybe your man likes flowers.
Reply:I%26#039;m not a guy, but i think it would be a very nice thing, and telling your husband that he is special and it would let everyone in the office know that he is special to you. So go for it.
