my friend is turning 22 soon and i was thinking of ideas for a present she love learning new languages and she can speak a little Spanish and Italian and she was born half Greek and half Romanian i was thinking of buying her a bunch of her favourite flowers and learn to say in Romanian (happy birthday and i hope you have many more beautiful and fantastic moments to come) what do you think does this sound to corny and how many flowers should i get her without being over the top
A birthday present for my friends 22nd birthday?
The flowers always work for a woman it doesn%26#039;t matter where she%26#039;s from ! The bigger the bouquet the better !
Happy Birthday in romanian is La Multi Ani !!!
You can also say it or write it on a special card ! She will appreciate it !
Good luck !
Reply:The flowers idea sounds great! The only thing is, unless you want to date her, you probably want to avoid certain meanings with the flowers. A bouquet is the way to go no matter what. If you actually want to date her, red roses are the way to go. If not, mixed wildflowers or yellow roses might be better. Also, get her a textbook or Romanian dictionary--she%26#039;d really appreciate that.
Reply:why not get her portrait made as a present.

Reply:I think thats really sweet. Are you a guy? I think it would be odd if one of my female friends gave me flowers. If you are a guy I wouldn%26#039;t do it if your friend has a boyfriend. That would only make him mad.
A dozen flowers or two dozen would be nice. Or a nice bouquet. See a florist about what she can do. Some flowers look best with certain groups of numbers. I don%26#039;t know if you want like a basket or a bouquet.
As for how to say it Romanian. Yahoo Answers has a language board and there are people that are very helpful. I%26#039;m not sure if it has a Romanian board. But it wouldn%26#039;t hurt to look. Also there is a website that is really cool:
http://www.livemocha.com/
You can learn tons of languages. It%26#039;s a website all about helping people learn new languages. So when you sign up to learn Romanian you%26#039;ll be given a list of people who are alos learning Romanian and native speakers whoa re trying to learn English. You can befriend these people and they%26#039;ll help you out. I%26#039;ve been learning Spanish on there. Best of all it%26#039;s free!
Good luck %26amp; stay a sweetheart %26lt;3
