We just had our first child about 6 weeks ago and now her birthday is very soon. She is not one to like flowers, I know I will take her to a nice dinner but what to get her is the question? I am not looking to spend a bunch as for the %26quot;push gift%26quot; 6 weeks ago I got her a new dinner table and chairs.
Help me with some ideas please....
I am looking for a birthday gift for my wife, any ideas???
Take your newborn and have a picture made with you and your child. Put it in a nice frame and go ahead and make reservations at a nice place and then drop the picture off at the restaurant before. Then have the server bring it at the end of the meal. She will be totally surprised and will really appreciate the fact of the efforts you made to make her night special. Best of luck.
Reply:she may Really appreciate a functional gift.
a diaper genie maybe tooo functional. an Ipod? what have you been putting off on getting for each other?
Reply:make her queen for a day. you can even buy a paper crown at a party supply store. prepare the meals, baby sit, let her have some time alone to do what she pleases. special touches, like finding notes telling her how you feel hidden in places she will go into, like drawers, under her pillow. you know her best.
Reply:Have you asked her what she wants? She could probably stand a good long nap! Give her time to herself. Maybe a hotel room or something like that. I know she (you too) is very tired. I%26#039;m sure you%26#039;re are very capable of watching the little one for a while.
Reply:dvd
Reply:I am an artist selling my work if you are interested i can email you my link
Reply:spend the whole day with her. Allow her to take time off from the baby %26amp; u baby sit %26amp; have romance.
Wish ur wife happy b%26#039;day
Reply:How about a little personal gift. By personal, it mean something that you know she likes, maybe a night out with friends to a movie and you baby sit or whatever else her likes are... something totally unexpected.
Reply:How about getting her a gift certificate to a beauty shop for a pedicure, manicure, massage or a facial? I love it when my husband gets me that.
Reply:Sometimes the best gift cost no money at all. Try watching the baby for her and let her take a nice long bubble bath with nicely scented candles, her favorite book/magazine. Maybe make a dinner for her for a change or get her her favorite dessert. Put the baby down for the evening and rub her feet while she watches her favorite show.
Reply:How about a gift card for her favorite hair salon? Or to a lingerie shop (like Victoria%26#039;s Secret) for new, non-maternity underwear? Or a boxset of her favorite perfume/body lotion. Depends on what%26#039;s she%26#039;s into. I know after having a baby she%26#039;d want to feel/look beautiful again. She deserves it!
Reply:Unique art gift is the best present.
I recommend http://www.photoartomation.com/ArtWork.h...
These guys convert digital photos into paintings of different art styles and print them on canvas. After you send them your photo they create a preview sample of your photo. It’s free.
I sent a digital photo of my wife (I wanted to give her a special present for Valentines Day) to photoartomation and they turned it into three gorgeous art samples that I could preview online. I had a hard time picking one because all three were really beautiful. Although their prices pretty high I was not disappointed because when I received my order the prepared artwork was much more impressive then online samples. And my wife was just speechless…

What can I do to give my girlfriend a very romantic birthday?
She said she doesn%26#039;t want any flowers this year because last year I gave her flowers. Not that she didn%26#039;t like flowers, but she doesn%26#039;t want me to overspend. On her last birthday, I brought her to a romantic dinner coupled with a bouquet of roses.
Okay, a year has already passed seemingly fast, and her birthday is around the corner once again.
What can I do to give my girlfriend a very romantic birthday? What gift? What plan? Where? (I%26#039;m not American, no specific venue please, just general places that ought to be available everywhere in the world)
Here are some details that might help:
- She doesn%26#039;t use cosmetics.
- She%26#039;s a Virgo.
- She loves surprises...but she also wants everything well-planned.
- We%26#039;ve been together for 16 months.
- She%26#039;s an interior designer.
- I am driving.
- She loves details and efforts.
That%26#039;s all I can think of now...
What can I do to give my girlfriend a very romantic birthday?
Once my husband surprised me by taking me to a nice hotel and treating me with a massage. When I returned to the room there were rose petals, champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. He then treated me to dinner. It was a very romantic night.
If you are trying to save money, you can do something similar at home. Cook her dinner. Make the table look nice. You could treat her to a massage yourself. Just make it all about her. For most girls I think it%26#039;s more about the thought you put into the gift, not necessarily how much you spend!
Good luck!
Reply:buddy, take her to an over looking view where you guys can see the whole city. if you%26#039;ve gone to L.A. the mullholland drive where you can see the %26quot;hollywood%26quot; sign in the mountain is somewhat the best view i can suggest.. and then hand her the engagement ring, whiule you wrap your arms around her.. buddy, security is the best gift you can offer to her.. the engagement itself will sure bring her to tears.. just choose the best design of the ring, and since shes an interior desiner, its your time to impress her though.. ok? i hope it works,,
Reply:a single rose, a bottle of champagne, in ur house put candles, dim the lights, put slow music and slow dance with her.
Reply:1st suggestion- give her something small like u make her this cute lil card, with some sweet pics of u both n make it creative as u said she loves details. then have it frame. nice and modern. no laces here and there tho. maybe u can paste some dried lovely lil flowers (dont make it messy, pls!) then u cook dinner for her at ur place. and watch love movies together.
2nd suggestion- take her on a yatch. maybe if its too costy then take her jetskiing@ boat ride, what have u. u watched Hitch? i like the idea of it. make it sweet and make it lovely.

How to give the flowers?
Well.. I have to go to a birthday party but it%26#039;s at a restaurant.. I thought of a boquet of flowers but they%26#039;ll die by the time we leave since the lifetime of flowers isn%26#039;t very long without a vase. So I%26#039;m getting this little amount of flowers in a tiny vase it looks nice, but i%26#039;d feel funny giving such a thing. Is it normal to give such a thing on a birthday party? Thanks for your replies. It%26#039;s just a random and silly question =]
How to give the flowers?
I think its beautiful and thoughtful.
Anyone would be happy with such a gift...
i know i would :)
plus its fine for a birthday party!!!!
Reply:then put water in the vase
Reply:Due to the fact that tables are small in restaurants, there really isn%26#039;t much space, I would not bring the flowers to the restaurant. Instead, take them by the birthday person%26#039;s place before the event, or have them sent by the florist. That way, big or small, they won%26#039;t get knocked over, there will be space for them, and they will not wilt, and you do not have to ask a waiter to go get you water for them. And the recipient will not have a problem getting them home, either.
I always think that part of the thoughtfulness of gift giving is the timeliness, and finding the right present, for the right person and place. For instance, you would not give chocolates on a hundred degree day, at a restaurant miles away from the recipeint%26#039;s house, they would melt before they got them across the parking lot, let alone home. You would not give a skimpy Fredrick%26#039;s of Hollywood nighty to your Grandma at her 60th birthday party held at the church.
Hope this helps.
Reply:Its thoughtful, but if you are worried that the flowers will die then have you thought of having the flowers delivered by the florist to the birthday persons home? Or maybe buy the birthday person a bouquet of the month subscription. I know some florists do that around my area. Check it out. It might be something kind of different as a gift and then its sort of like the gift that keeps on giving in a way. Good luck.
Reply:I think that is very thoughtful. Don%26#039;t worry about it!
Reply:make sure it%26#039;s a cute vase and let the rest flow.. it will be just fine! you should feel yourself comfortable with it and so will feel the rest!

How do I find someones birthday using the internet???
I%26#039;m trying to find out my grandfathers birthday because I want to get a tattoo in honor of him and I want to incorperate his birth flower into it but I need his birthday in order to figure out what flower.
I CANNOT ask my family, they would not only not approve of the tattoo but would also be very upset that I would want to know anything about a family member that does not live in my respective house. (We%26#039;re not a close family, we%26#039;re just a bunch of people that happen to share a last name. And we%26#039;re not allowed to talk about each other)
Is there a free way to find someones birthday using the internet that%26#039;s more reliable than birthdaydatabase.com?
Thank you.

Present for mothers birthday?
Does anyone have any ideas of a present for my moms 45th birthday? I really wanna do sum thing nice, i did flowers and homemade card last time, so thats kinda common... She gets upset if i dont do anything, and if i do shes the happiest person for about 3 days %26gt;.%26lt;
Present for mothers birthday?
Moms are kinda normal women like that. My mom really dug anything homemade, so I usually made her a cake and a card and sometimes embroidered her something.
One of the presents that she really dug was a letter I wrote to her. It outlined all the things I appreciated about her and articulated exactly how much I loved her and why. After she died, I found that letter, which I had written when I was 16, some 25 years previous, folded up in her jewelry box, in a little velvet bag. She really treasured that. It got her through all the years I was suffering with alcoholism and drug addiction, because she knew that I really loved her, regardless of how I was behaving. I finally recovered from my problems, largely due to her unconditional love. I wrote her another letter, but by then she had the beginning of Alzheimer%26#039;s disease and didn%26#039;t really care about anything. Give your mother your best while you have her with you. When she is gone, you will miss her more than you can possibly imagine.
Best wishes to your Mom on her birthday, and to you for thinking of her.
Reply:I would try to do something really personal. Maybe a framed photo of you and her when you were young or something she collects or really enjoys doing. If you can%26#039;t think of anything like that, a gift certificate at a local spa is always good.
Reply:Make her a collage of pictures of you and her, include some of when you were growing up and after you do that take it to a tshirt place if you can find on and they can make an iron on out of it and put it on a shirt for her. She would love it, my mom did and 10 years later she still wears it. That way she can show you off to everyone.
Reply:get her a pedicure at a spa take her out some where
Reply:A nice glass doll with her name on it somewhere would be nice.

My boyfriend didn't get me anything for my birthday!!?
So my boyfriend and I have been together for about 5 months. We%26#039;ve dated before a few years back, and now we are head over heels for eachother. He treats me so well. I am a little bummed because today was my birthday and he said happy birthday and gave me a kiss. I was thinking that maybe later hed come out with flowers or a card or gift, but he never did. Before my birthday he talked about how he had things in mind for me, and then i mentioned how im at his house a lot and he said that my present is somewhere where I wouldn%26#039;t look. So I was excited to see what he got me. but i got nothin. I didn%26#039;t want anything but atleast a homemade card or something! For his birthday I got him balloons sent to him and some movies. He is unemployed, so i understand that hes low on cash, but not THAT low that he can%26#039;t even make me a card or buy flowers.
Basically, I am just wondering to why he wouldn%26#039;t get me anything and why he said he did but then came up empty handed. Should I mention it to him?
My boyfriend didn%26#039;t get me anything for my birthday!!?
Considering, he%26#039;s unemployed, its quite reasonable to give a gift. If you plan on telling him about your frustration, do you think he will not get offended? Nevertheless, you have to say to him your disappointment but do it in a most subtle way.
Reply:.Most certainly would,if can lie about a birthday present Then he can lie about anything.

Is there anyway to locate someones birthday by using the internet, I found one site but it wanted 20 dollars a month and I don%26#039;t need to spend a month on a site, just like two minutes.
Thank you.

1. http://217.160.240.239/cgi-bin/query.pl
2. County records. Find out where he got married (they won%26#039;t give you a birth certificate, it%26#039;s for parents or a person him/herself only). There will be a birth date. Costs about 5 dollars or something.
3. County records on-line. If you know the county in which he was born, you can search the on-line database.
Reply:You should post this Q on Craigslist.com and ask if there is anyone out there who HAS this %26quot;monthly%26quot; account and would be willing to look up the date for you, for a small charge. You can probably get the information for $2 or so from a person who has already paid for the month subscription.
Sorry to hear your family doesn%26#039;t talk. I remember when mine didn%26#039;t. :(

Its my birthday and i dont think he is gonna get me anything....?
today is my 23rd birthday and the first birthday of mine since being with my fiance. we dont have a lot of money right now and he said he was gonna get me something when he gets paid(we do have enough that he could spend $50-$100). i said to him last night that it is fine but its gonna make me sad to not get anything on my birthday. he knows i get depressed this time of year and flowers or a card would be enough to make my day but i dont think he will get anything. on his 30th birthday in august i threw him a big party, got him clothes and concert tickets. now i am afraid if he does not come home with anything i am going to burst into tears or be a *****. my question is, what should i say to him to help him understand how hurt i am and that i really dont care to get a present later because he feels like he needs to spend lots of money? how would this make you feel?
Its my birthday and i dont think he is gonna get me anything....?
I would be upset.
If he will come home empty-handed, I would say how I feel. That something small, like card or flowers would be sufficient to make you smile and happy, knowing even if he can%26#039;t afford fancy presents, he loves you and cares about you enough.
And for the future, girl, try to give as much as you take. Don%26#039;t throw big parties for him when money is an issue and you know he will not do the same for you. it may sound selfish, but it will save your from heartache, when you feel like you feel now - not loved and cared for.
Good luck darling, and happy birthday! %26lt;hug%26gt;
Reply:Love isn%26#039;t about who can spend how much on each other. If that is what you base your love on, then sorry to break this to you but you are gonna end up sad AND lonely.
Reply:So what your saying is that you want him to spend his last dime on you right?
You are a selfish *****!
Reply:You sound like a selfish, whiney *****. You are broke; you should have said %26quot;Please don%26#039;t get me anything this year.%26quot;
BTW, if a man is 30 years old and can%26#039;t afford a nice present, he shouldn%26#039;t be getting married.
Reply:Get used to it or call off the engagement. Honestly if he is this way now he will always be!
Am I doing the math right, you got together and engaged in one year????

If he will come home empty-handed, I would say how I feel. That something small, like card or flowers would be sufficient to make you smile and happy, knowing even if he can%26#039;t afford fancy presents, he loves you and cares about you enough.
And for the future, girl, try to give as much as you take. Don%26#039;t throw big parties for him when money is an issue and you know he will not do the same for you. it may sound selfish, but it will save your from heartache, when you feel like you feel now - not loved and cared for.
Good luck darling, and happy birthday! %26lt;hug%26gt;
Reply:Love isn%26#039;t about who can spend how much on each other. If that is what you base your love on, then sorry to break this to you but you are gonna end up sad AND lonely.
Reply:So what your saying is that you want him to spend his last dime on you right?
You are a selfish *****!
Reply:You sound like a selfish, whiney *****. You are broke; you should have said %26quot;Please don%26#039;t get me anything this year.%26quot;
BTW, if a man is 30 years old and can%26#039;t afford a nice present, he shouldn%26#039;t be getting married.
Reply:Get used to it or call off the engagement. Honestly if he is this way now he will always be!
Am I doing the math right, you got together and engaged in one year????
Sheesh......

How do u send balloons or flowers to a house?
call 1800 flowers or jus get a friend to do it
Reply:1800flowers
Reply:this website should help, just find what you want, click it, and go from there
http://www.giftblooms.com/gifts/united-s...
Reply:Call a local florist and tell them what you want. You can give them your card number right over the phone. You can also do this online at places such as 1-800-flowers, as most accept debit as well, but they are very expensive!
Reply:easy. go to a local florist and have them deliver it ffor you, pay cash. if the recipient lives out of the area, you%26#039;re in trouble unless you have a credit card. To send out of the area you must have a credit card. If not, go in person, pick out what you want and they%26#039;ll deliver it after.

My husbands birthday is coming in a couple of says and i was wondering is it ok?
to send him flowers and a box of chocolates to work on his birthday is that just for women.please help.
My husbands birthday is coming in a couple of says and i was wondering is it ok?
I don%26#039;t know about at work. It depends on how many people at work will see it and if they%26#039;ll ridicule him.
I had a former girlfriend send roses to my home, and it was one of the nicest gestures I%26#039;ve ever received.
Reply:I want to commend you on the idea and the effort. Just the fact that you are thinking of doing something special is special.
I like the advice that others have suggested, plan something special for when he gets home.
For the office, why not send him to work with a card. Write some sweet things in it (don%26#039;t rely on Hallmark to express your feelings). Tell him to open it at work. It will brighten his day. If he feels open about it, he will display it. If not, he will keep it in his desk and look at it throughout the day. Either way, it will have the same desired effect.
Reply:I would say no. Even though today, many people are OK with different things. But why would you subject your husband to such ridicule at his office or place of work. Send him a nice picture of yourself for his desk, or some tickets to his favorite team.
Reply:Armani G, I would prefer a romantic dinner for two, followed by exercise...if you know what I mean.
Reply:Man it up just a bit to be safe. Trade the flowers out for a delievred lunch and maybe gourmet jelly beans in lieu of chocolate. Just a suggestion though, send what you think is right (He better send you some good stuff like that :D)
Reply:I got flowers at work one time....
all the ladies were envious...but I got ribbed for it for months...
I would vote %26quot;no%26quot; on flowers......
it is a nice gesture.... depends on if he can take the ribbing....
Reply:I think it depends on his work but if it is an office place/environment and he wont get harassed too much because he works in a mature office then yes. I think a nice arrangement, not roses, is cool, I have done it and if he likes chocolates that is the thing to do. I think guys like to be surprised with niceties too. Have fun.....S
Reply:tickets to a game
Reply:honestly guys dont really care about that kinda stuff. just be home when he gets there wearing a long coat with nothing under it. then open it slightly to show what is NOT there. HE will appreciate that more and you can both enjoy his present.
Reply:I would opt for a balloon maybe rather than chocolates and flowers.
Tho I would be ecstatic with any gift from my sugarlicious.
Reply:you could send him flowers and choclates if you want to but that would be like him buying you a lawn mower for your birthday.
If you want to send him something, there are some places that will do a basket of mens stuff like boutique beers and wine and stuff like that. You can still send him something, but he will probably like it more.
Reply:Just send him some balloons at work and be waiting naked when he gets home. Most men don%26#039;t care for flowers and chocolates. They just want food and sex :)
Reply:I don%26#039;t think guys really like that kind of display of affection. He would appreciate a card letting him know what the night has in store for him...lol

How do men feel about having flowers sent to them?
I have a friend who lives out of state. We have not been seeing eye-to-eye on things lately. We are at a bit of a cross roads. His birthday is coming up on Tuesday. Should I send flowers? I would have to send them to him at his place of work. Good idea? Or would he be mad/embarrassed/etc.?
How do men feel about having flowers sent to them?
I wouldn%26#039;t send flowers, but how about one of those lucky bamboo trees (the small desk kind) and a sweet card? Also communication is key, talk to him about the way your feeling, be open and honest...you and he will both appreciate it in the end! You don%26#039;t have to see eye to eye to get along and communicate, and be good friends, it does take a bit of compromise too! :)
Reply:I asked my hubby...
he thought it was %26quot;really cool%26quot; when I sent him flowers last month. I sent them to his work...of course everyone was curious and it made him the center of attention for the day especially with the ladies at work. You know how we are, we just gotta know :)
Reply:i think he would appreciate a creamy, chocolatey chocolate cake more!!!!ummmm
Reply:I%26#039;m not a guy....but it would freak me out - stalker style stuff!!!
Honestly Birthday or no Birthday
What do you really owe him?
Reply:Was not my birthday but I had some flowers once and I did%26#039;nt
like%26#039;it, I am very sure that it is bad idea.
Reply:I personally feel offended because I don%26#039;t know what I%26#039;m suppose to do with them. I%26#039;d rather not get them. And the card doesn%26#039;t have to be %26quot;cute%26quot; for a guy. Just a card.
Reply:Girl, that is so homo!
Reply:Ehhh seems a little weird to me xD
Maybe you could sent him a cute card just saying happy birthday :)

Cool Birthday Gift through the mail???
I%26#039;m going to be out of state for my friend%26#039;s birthday. I want to send her something similiar to flowers or a gift basket, but with a little more personality? Are there any great stores/bakeries/companies that ship online that you LOVE?
Any and ALL suggestions are appreciated!!!
Cool Birthday Gift through the mail???
Yes, I have something that%26#039;s PERFECT for you! (I do it all the time). If you go to www.Signaturedays.com you can search from thousands of different gift %26quot;experiences%26quot; like cooking classes, hot air balloon rides, spa services, even a personal chef! They have a huge price range so you can find something that works (or just do an open gift card) and once you buy it, the card will be shipped in an elegant box (with a personalized message on the inside) right to her front door. Even if she isn%26#039;t happy with what you pick, she can trade it for anything else on their site. It is like the perfect solution and very unique...i bet she%26#039;d love it!
Reply:No problem, I%26#039;m glad I could help! Report It

Should I remind him about my birthday??? lol?
My 22nd birthday is next week and my husband never remembers my birthday (ever since we%26#039;ve been together and that%26#039;s been for 5 years) - even last year on my 21st birthday when I was 7 months pregnant and had to work all day, he forgot - should I remind him this year or would that be totally rude? I always buy him a nice gift, flowers, and make a special dinner for him on his birthday and on our anniversary. I%26#039;m half tempted to just see if he forgets about it again and if he does then just say screw it and forget his birthday and Christmas and our anniversary too.
Should I remind him about my birthday??? lol?
No, do not take that course of action. The morning before your birthday, set a cake mix box, a can of frosting, and a box of birthday candles on the kitchen counter where he is sure to notice it. If he misses THAT hint, do not let him have any cake. (Double entendre intented.)
Good luck!

so this time we both are not going to remind our hubbys and if they forget all hells gonna break loose
Reply:I wouldnt remind him and do the same to him in 5 years i think he should remember by now
Reply:drop little hints but don%26#039;t make him feel too bad, he should already remember though, just forget about his birthday next time, lol
Reply:Maybe he is just bad with dates, my wife sometimes reminds me by sending herself a sexy card and not signing it. That gets my attention real quick, she will receive cards and flowers the next day, Good luck.
Reply:It%26#039;s not rude to remind him as long as you do it polietly. Like say %26quot;so and so days until my birthday! i%26#039;m so excited%26quot;. Then you are reminding him but it dosent sound like you are asking for gifts :)
Reply:maybe he has a plan, try to give a some reminders
Reply:Don%26#039;t remind him directly...just help him remember by giving him hints.
Reply:I don%26#039;t think it would be rude!
Reply:YES! Leave post-it notes everywhere reminding him. Fold over the corners of all the expensive stuff in the catalogues. Write it in the diary/on the calendar. Make a count-down-til-my-birthday wall chart. And send yourself some flowers on the day just to make a point! Then if you%26#039;ve gone over the top enough you can pass it of as a bit of a joke even though you mean it!!! PS.... Happy Birthday!

Reply:I know this hurts you but a lot of people don%26#039;t think of things like that, doesn%26#039;t mean he doesn%26#039;t love you as much as you love him,
you will have to decide what you want to do, I was never one to remind anyone, I wouldn%26#039;t like anything he did if I had to remind him,wouldn%26#039;t mean a thing to me, you are not me, what you decide will be right for you.
I wish you the best Birthday ever, hope he remembers.
Reply:don%26#039;t worry about that kind of stuff, it%26#039;s not important. just except the fact that he is a male (that translates to mean dumb@ss in language) and forget about it so long as he%26#039;s good to you otherwise.
Reply:yes
Reply:Remind him, tell him what you want(give choices). My wife tells me all the time with a count down day by day, it helps me.

I pick/buy flowers every week so I don%26#039;t really need them from someone else. It doesn%26#039;t show much thought either. I%26#039;d much prefer someone bought me seeds for my garden or a sack of potatoes. Same price, more thought.

Flowers Online? =P?
*Cough* So yeah. I met this girl online and we fell in love with each-other. Her birthday is coming up and I want to send her flowers. Here is the catch. I don%26#039;t want to seem creepy and ask for her address. Are their any websites that deliver flowers to the addresses of other members in which the sender is unable to see the address?
I%26#039;d appreciate any help, I really don%26#039;t want her to feel uncomfortable so it has to be secure. Kinda like paypal but with flowers instead of money %26lt;.%26lt;
Thank you in advance. ^^
Flowers Online? =P?
The on line flower is just the same as any flower shop. They both do need a place: like an address to sent the flower to. How else is she going to get the flower. Without an physical address your best luck is to sent her e card. I think she would appreciate that. What%26#039;s most important is that your thoughtfulness that counts. Best of luck.
Reply:well so, not creepy. just kinda stalkerish. if you fell in love, you should have her address. I%26#039;ve worked in many florists for over 15 yrs. and that just has... STALKER all over it.
Reply:I don%26#039;t care what you say...sorry this is weird.
1) How can you be in love w/ her on line?
2) WHY wouldn%26#039;t you ask her for her address?
3) Has she told you she loves YOU?
4) This just sounds wrong, like you want to remain anonymous for a reason.
Look, I know you said you weren%26#039;t a stalker, but if it walks like a duck and looks like a duck....It%26#039;s a DUCK.
Just call her office and get her work address and send them there, what you%26#039;re doing is to strange sorry but I had to respond with my own opinion...I wouldn%26#039;t have the slighest clue to tell you where to go, I don%26#039;t think this is a %26quot;common procedure%26quot;
I was going to recommned www.1800flowers, but after reading all of this. You want something else. Sorry
if there is such a site, I wish you well.
I can%26#039;t seem to understand how people can fall in love online only? I can see where you could become infatuated or in LUST, but you%26#039;ve never even been to her house or have her address??? Hum...ever think there%26#039;s a reason for that???
Reply:Go on whitepages.com and look her name up. That should be able to tell you all the information you will need to know for sending flowers.
Reply:You need a street address. How else is the delivery person supposed to know where she lives?
Reply:Send it to her work address, instead. If all else fails, simply forego the surprise thing as it may surprise you she perceive surprises as %26quot;creepy%26quot; and ask her if she is OK with giving her personal address to someone who is a *cough* romantic guy who want to send flowers to his new love.
Maybe next time you can surprise her with something else or more flowers, as you%26#039;ve envisioned or fantasized, you romantic devil, you.
Reply:just ask her for the address
Reply:Yeah...so...I think any way that you do this it is going to seem creepy. It would almost be better to ask her address. Or even her work address or friends address. Just tell her what your trying to do.

What type of flowers to get for a guy?
It%26#039;s my boyfriend%26#039;s birthday next week and I want to get him flowers and maybe balloons too. It might sound silly, but he once told me he likes it when girls do that. I got him flowers once before, but really had no idea what to buy! I want some red roses and something else with it too. Nothing pink I guess, but what else do you suggest?
What type of flowers to get for a guy?
If he likes this kind of stuff,
Go with the roses.
Cause thats like the most, masculin thing I can think of!
Reply:Please don%26#039;t give him flowers, buy a cake or pie, or tools, but not flowers.
Reply:try a power tool
Reply:Red roses with %26quot;baby%26#039;s breath%26quot; sprigs...or a balloon %26quot;bouquet%26quot;
Reply:get balloons and go out to dinner.
Reply:Wild Flower
Reply:Hahahahahaha! Ahahahaha! I thought men were the ones who were supposed to give you the flowers and balloons.
Oh well. Get him some red roses an yellow/red pansies. And some red and blue balloons.
Red Represents Romance
Blue Represents Caring
Reply:maybe sunflowers or some orchids
Reply:Once a year I send my husband white %26amp; red roses....he loves them.
Reply:maybe try to see if you can have his buddy see what kind he likes/wants on the sly and then tell you, make sure he/she does not let your boyfriend know though cause then its ruined, but he/she might be able to find out. if that does not work just buy him what you want if he really loves you and cares about you he will like whatever you buy him its the thought of you buying him gifts and thinking and caring about him that matters.

Flowers Suggestion...?
Hi, I am going to visit my gf for her birthday next weekend. I want to bring her some flowers. She loves Calla Lillies and I bring her those often along with Roses, but this time I want to be different.
I don%26#039;t want to bring her Callas or Roses. Any suggestions?
Thanks...
Flowers Suggestion...?
I would recommend tuilips, also if she loves lilies stargazers and tiger lilies are giant eye catchers. I would say that tulips are great...
Reply:my auntie recently had a wedding and she used
%26#039;lily of the valley%26#039; flowers as her bouquet
the flowers looked very sweet. they were like little bells.
and apparently they represent sweetness and beauty.
hope that helped a tiny bit!!
Reply:Why not try a living plant instead of dying flowers? Something that she can keep and grow. A Bonsai tree for example could also be used as a symbol that you%26#039;ll be sticking with her for a long time.

Why am I not satisfied with my birthday present?
Here goes. My boyfriend and I are going through a rough time right now. My birthday is tomorrow and he already gave me flowers (which i am happy with) but then I found a $100 gift card to Old Navy when i was doing his laundry. He know I HATE gift cards because I don%26#039;t think they are thoughtful. He asked me what I wanted (usually I don%26#039;t care) and I told him I wanted us to do something as a family (with our 7 month old son), I wanted a memory. Anyhow, I will be pissed if that is what he got me. This might be the straw that broke the camels back. we have been having a hard time with his depression for the last year and i%26#039;m at my witts end. What would you do? I told him what I wanted.
Why am I not satisfied with my birthday present?
don%26#039;t give up on him yet... see what he comes up with tomorrow. Even if he doesn%26#039;t give you the memory... don%26#039;t give up yet. You have a family and it sounds like he has emotional problems. Try counseling.
Good luck and God Bless. Oh... and Happy Birthday!
Reply:Hun, you are putting the cart before the horse. Your birthday hasn%26#039;t even happened yet and you are already pissed off at him and assuming things. He is trying and to be honest, it is the thought that counts. Maybe the memory will be taking you shopping and then the 3 of you doing something together after like a picnic in the park?
Reply:Don%26#039;t go off of him, firstly, because at least he tried, and you mentioned he had depression so he may have recently gotten it because he was so stressed out. Just act like you like it if it happens to be your present and make sure he gives you a gift receipt or something and go and return it when your out doing errands. Good luck.
Reply:it sounds like he%26#039;s trying his best, you can%26#039;t get down on him for at least trying. If he%26#039;s have problems with depression he should probably try to work on those issues so thing between the two of you would be better. Don%26#039;t rag on him i did it to my husband when i didnt like a gift he gave me, big mistake. They%26#039;re men they try their best
Reply:I would be depressed too if I put my hard earned money into a gift for my spouse and whatever I chose wasn%26#039;t good enough. Did it ever occur to you that he thinks highly of you and woud like you to look the way he thinks of you? Therefore, instead of buying you something that would probably not fit he bought you a gift card so you could choose whatever you like. I would love a gift card.
Reply:You%26#039;re not satisfied because you are acting spoiled and bratty. Get over it, be glad he got you anything at all. Anyhow with the depression things going on with him, at least he thought of you --thought its not the perfect little gift you desired. Accept it, say thank you and ENJOY it...Don%26#039;t be greedy.
Reply:damn i would hate to be your boyfriend you seem to be a very unpleasent woman, if i were you i would take the card and make him go with you to buy something as a family, then hope he doesnt leave your *** on the curb when you tell him how much you hate that he gave you a gift card
Reply:why don%26#039;t you wait and see what else he may have planned for you, shopping at Old Navy then a day/night out for all someplace fun but wanted you to look your best before going, hence the gift card.

You are a very selfish person. Its not all about you. You don%26#039;t get that most men not only hate having to shop for women, but are simply bad at it, especially when it comes to clothing. He%26#039;d rather than you have the card with which to pick out what *you* most like there, rather than him bringing home some item that you will almost certainly return, if its even in your correct size. Flowers not made in a bouquet?
So I seem to be having a major dumb moment... I got the idea of making a birthday cake out of wet floral foam and fresh flowers.... only thing is now I can%26#039;t figure out where to go to buy flowers not already made into a bouquet.
Also, how do florists get started? Is there florist school? See what I mean, major dumb moment going on!!
Heck, its Friday! I%26#039;ve got an excuse!
Flowers not made in a bouquet?
go to your grocery store floral department. You can get bunches of flowers, in a bouquet or not. Ours has stems of tulips, in groups of 7, I think. Carnations, daffodils, or alstromeria...which last a long time.
Reply:Most major stores such as grocery stores and WalMarts, KMarts etc. have single flowers that you can buy. Most floral shops also have singles that you can buy. As far as training, check with your large floral shops. In Illinois, it was Amling%26#039;s. Most of these large distributors offer classes and training. Also check your local community college or Adult Education. Most of these colleges will offer classes in what you are talking about. It is not a dumb question, you are looking for an answer to something that interests you. That%26#039;s what were here to do...answer you.

My husband "forgot" my birthday again?
Last Tuesday was my 30th birthday. My husband usually forgets, so I reminded him a month ago, and then a week before my brithday.
Tuesday morning he had been up for half an hour, so i said, %26quot;aren%26#039;t you going to wish me a happy birthday?%26quot;
he said that I should have reminded him, even though I did. He went to work, and was not home until after 8pm.
He had no card, no presents, no flowers. I always make a big deal out of birthdays for him and our children. I make cakes from scratch, invite family for dinner and buy a persent ahead of time. It really hurts me that on my brithday, I did not get anything. I am not a material person, I just wanted him to show me he cares.
On Friday night I told him how upset I was, and he just blew me off. I was crying because my feelings were so hurt. I figured that maybe he might plan something for the weekend, but now it is Sunday and he has done nothing.
How do I get over this? I feel so alone.
My husband %26quot;forgot%26quot; my birthday again?
I would tell him everything what you wrote here strait to his face. How old is he? 85-90? Or his head made from wood???
Yes, many people do not care about birth days, but this is different, he doesn%26#039;t care about you or your feelings. After so many remindings he didn%26#039;t bother to move a finger.
Also, if you won%26#039;t tell him that you are upset, doesn%26#039;t he has eyes to see it himself? Does he see you at all?
What a lazy mind and spirit!!!
I wouldn%26#039;t wait for his birthday to get some immature revenge, this is your life, your marriage not some kind of game. Till its not too late(?) talk to him, knock to his heart, explain what is going on in your heart. I would openly search for love and talk with him about everything.
There are 2 people in the marriage not just one. You can%26#039;t do it for both of you, even you%26#039;ll try hard
Reply:Your husband sounds like insensitive ****** and I%26#039;m being nice just calling him that. Karma%26#039;s a *****. So stop doing the nice things you do for him and if he doesn%26#039;t like it tell him to f-off.
Reply:If he needs to be reminded, then maybe you shouldn%26#039;t make such a big deal out of his birthday. Why go through all the trouble for someone who can%26#039;t remember your big day and probably doesn%26#039;t appreciate what you do for his?
Reply:Happy Birthday!!! I%26#039;m sorry your husband is so insensitive. I had a boyfriend like that and it turned out pretty bad. Not only was he insensitive, he was cheating, and ripped me off financially. It%26#039;s the narcisstic personality; that means vain, self-absorbed, conceited, selfish, etc... Good luck on whatever you decide to do but remember this, is this the kind of man you would want your daughter to be involved with? If not, you shouldn%26#039;t be involved with him either.
Reply:treat his birthday the same as he does yours....like it%26#039;s nothing! in fact, i%26#039;d let him spend the whole day by himself. i%26#039;d go pamper myself at the spa, hairdressers, or nail salon...then i%26#039;d show him what a good job that they did.
Reply:Remember this on his birthday and return the favor.
Reply:Well you don%26#039;t, you get him things but he gets you nothing and even forget? Well maybe you should talk to him tell him how big of a deal it is for you. Or just 1 time forget his birthday! This will for sure make him think twice for what has done!
Reply:does he do things for you on other holidays? valentines day mothers day anniversary etc? Did he do things for you prior to you guys getting married? I mean if i bust my *** and go out my way for my husband he BETTER do the same otherwise I just wont do it anymore. Dont do anything for him anymore see if he says something about it. Keep doing stuff for your kids tho they dont need to be between your battle. I would say talk to him but you said he blows you off, i say blow him off if he wants to talk about anything involving his feelings because if he doesnt care anymore then why should you?
Reply:Take yourself to dinner tonight WITHOUT HIM OR THE KIDS!! Call a friend and the 2 of you go celebrate like it was your 21st birthday! And when his birthday comes simply %26quot;forget%26quot; don%26#039;t even mention it! I know your feelings are hurt, and you shouldn%26#039;t play games, but he has to be taught a lesson once and for all!! Teach him how to play by your rules! So go call a friend who can go somewhere on short notice get all dressed and simply say be back and leave the house. Even if you can%26#039;t find someone to go with you leave for a while anyway. Some men just have to be taught to wake up and look at what they have in front of them!!
Reply:Well, Happy Birthday!
I%26#039;ve been married a long time and still my husband cannot remember my birthday. But I also learned it was not the Happy Birthday, flowers...it was an acknowledgement that he still loved me. But then I had to be honest with myself and realized he acknowledged me everyday we are married by working to support our family, coming home to us everyday, kissing me on the cheek, holding my hand....it all comes down to all the little stuff he did and basically giving me a birthday gift everyday of our marriage. FYI we have been married 26 years.
Reply:Stop doing nice things for his b-day.
Reply:First of all... I am sorry to hear that you have a piece of crap for a husband. This is just terrible! I am not kidding. There is NO reason why the man that you married can not even remember your birthday, let alone get you something once you do remind him. My advice would be to go to counseling. Maybe he is doing something he is doing something he is not suppost to be doing (i.e. cheating). If thats not the case then maybe he has alot of stress at his job. But I dont really think that is the issue. Bottom line : There is absolutly NO reason this man should treat you like this. **** Luck.
Reply:So, did you marry him to get birthday presents?
Reply:Maybe he smokes weed and his short term memory is already gone. Who knows?
Try growing up or realize he could care less about a birthday. There are people out there that make no big deal out of birthdays, holidays etc. You knew he was like that normally forgets, why think he would remember in the first place?
Reply:This is not good. Turning 30 was an important day for you, and you let him know. He blew you off. You should take yourself to counseling and map out your plan to find happiness. He is in danger of losing you. Does he know that? Does he care?
Take care of yourself. You cannot fill another%26#039;s cup when yours is empty. You owe yourself a fantastic present, by the way. If asks about it, tell him it%26#039;s from him.

Where can I order flowers for today?
This is my problem, I had order flowers since 2 days ago for my mom%26#039;s birthday, which is today, and I%26#039;ve just got a call saying they were not going to be able to delivery until tomorrow. Now were can I find a place so my mom can receive flowers today? Plz Help!!! I live in Dallas Texas if that is of any help.
Where can I order flowers for today?
look in the yellow pages under florists. most all of them will deliver same day. hurry it%26#039;s getting late.
good luck to ya

Does your Mom live in Dallas also? If so, you should be able to call a local florist to deliver them. Cancel the other order and get another order elsewhere.

Anonymous flowers?
I sent flowers anonymously to a coworker I like on her birthday. I realize now that it was cowardly of me to not reveal my name on the card. It is now a week later and she has not asked me about them - should I tell her or just let it go?
Anonymous flowers?
Ok, one question, have you in any other way let her know that you are interested in her? If not, maybe she%26#039;s intimidated and is scared to talk about it in fear that you may not be the one that sent them. Especially if she likes you there would be some fear of rejection or humiliation. If you have been obvious about your feelings and she hasn%26#039;t approached then maybe she isn%26#039;t interested. Or maybe she possibly has someone already??? I honestly think you should send another set of flowers, in the same vase perhaps, and this time sign your name.... She will definetly be flattered. Don%26#039;t sign the card with %26quot;Love%26quot; or %26quot;Friends%26quot; , let her decide how to take it from there. The flowers will definetly get mentioned after the second time and by her reply you will know how she feels about you.
Reply:ohhh well i would say somehting like did you find out who gave you the flowers? then you should ask her out.... very sweet of you and romantic
Reply:You can always approach her by saying,
%26quot;I just wanted to know if you had liked
the flowers I had sent you for your birthday?%26quot;
She may possibly respond by
saying she did not know they
were from you because there was no
card with them.
At which point you can say,
%26quot;Maybe they had a lot of deliveries
that day and forgot to include it.%26quot;
And then base your follow-up response
on what she says next-
this will cover up the fact that you
took the cowardly approach in the
first place.
Good Luck~*
Reply:Yah, maybe she didn%26#039;t get the hint. Ask her %26quot; Did you get the flowers I sent you for your b-day?%26quot;
I think its very romantic.
Reply:She may have just thought it was a friend or family member.. either keep sending her more gifts or flowers and start signing them %26quot;secret admirer%26quot; and then eventually coming clean. Or just tell her straight out that it was you who sent them. Maybe you could just say %26quot;By the way, did you like the flowers I sent you for your birthday?%26quot; Or something nonchalant.

What you gonna feel when you give a flowers to someone and just in front of you she give it away to someone.?
I gave a flower to my boss for her birthday and at same day is also her friends birthday she just change the card and give it to her in front of me,
What you gonna feel when you give a flowers to someone and just in front of you she give it away to someone.?
I%26#039;d probably feel a bit insulted if she did it directly in front of me. What she does with it behind my back is none of my business but at least have the tact to give it away when I%26#039;m not looking.

As for your feelings, yes, you should feel hurt by her insensitivity. Is this typical of her behavior? Might you start looking for a new job with a better boss?

Reply:Shop QVC online they have really nice jewelry and very reasonable. I buy most of my jewelry from them. QVC.com
Reply:Women seem to really like candles, don%26#039;t just get her plain ones though, get them in a pretty set up or something. Jewelry is always nice too, and u don%26#039;t have to spend a lot. Find out if she wears gold or silver and see what u can get her in your price range, for a friend though, I would stick with a nice bracelet or even an anklet. And beings it is for a friend, it doesn%26#039;t have to be fancy either. Just find out what her hobbies are, does she collect anything?

Unique Birthday gifts for my girlfriend?
I%26#039;ve been dating this girl for almost 3 yrs. I%26#039;ve bought things from photo albums to jewelry box to clothing to jewelry, flowers, and stuffed animals. This year for her 15th birthday i want to buy her something different then anything i have bought her yet. I don%26#039;t want to get her candy because she really doesn%26#039;t like it too much. I have already got her a couple shirts for her birthday but i wasn%26#039;t something else that was different then anything I%26#039;ve gotten her before. Something that she would never ever think of but i want it to be sweet not tacky. Also i was wondering some ideas that i could do for her that day to make her birthday the most special day of the year. Thanks

Pamper her by paying for her to get her nails done, massage, and stuff. Figure what you want to spend and see what they will do for that amount.
Reply:get your pictures taken together...make sure to check out the price first because it can get pricey...walmart will charge about $6 if you only buy the first pose...you can also get 15? cards for an extra $10.
or take her to the beach and bring a picnic that you packed.
Or bring her to bath and body works and let her pick a few things out.
or give her %26quot;love coupons%26quot; - make them yourself....just strips of constuction paper that are decorated and say thing like %26quot;good for one walk in the park%26quot;
%26quot;good for 1 kiss%26quot; etc.
Reply:If you need a different birthday gift idea, these personalized soaps from soapcard.com might do the trick. They make romantic heart shaped soaps with your photo and personalized message embedded inside. I got one for my boyfriend and he loved it. You can write all kinds of funny stuff. My boyfriend thought it was super cute, .the %26quot;Think of me when you%26#039;re feeling dirty%26quot; soap was the one he loved the most.
Reply:I have the perfect romantic gift for you: http://lovesagame.com/name-a-star-the-ul...
Reply:If she likes flowers or orchids, you can consider embedding her photo or name in acrylic together with a flower as a present for her. This can be bought online at the website mentioned below.
Reply:get her a ring........
Reply:do something thats personal to the 2 of you.
a really good bet is a picture in a nice frame. my gf gave me one of a trip we had to the beach once. its the best present i ever got from her.
and you can do it for really cheap.
buy her the usual girly items like smelly things and flowers as well of course.
other things you could do are put together a scrap book of memories and such like over the past few years
also write her a letter rather than a card telling her how much she means to you.
my gf did this to me and it was so nice.
Reply:Think about what she really likes. Pay attention when you go out to the movies, or on a date. Listen to her and she will mention something that she really likes.
If you don%26#039;t come up with anything take her on a day long excursion. Set up a crazy scavenger hunt that ends at a park where you are waiting with a candle light picnic. Along the way leave little gifts with her clues. Its exciting and it takes a lot of thought and effort. Any girl would love it!
Reply:Maybe you can do a collague of pictures of your relationship. You know, places you%26#039;ve been to, random pictures you%26#039;ve taken, ticket stubs, etc. Something that will really show her how much you love her and are enjoying the relationship. Or you could take her to a spa and get her pampered. You know, get her a manicure and pedicure, a nice massage, facial, etc. Girls really enjoy that type of stuff.
Good Luck! =)

And if possible, I would prefer to send her something small, not enormous Bouquets.

How would you feel if you boyfriend didn't give you a birthday card or gift?
My boyfriend bragged to me 2 days before my birthday about what a wonderful boyfriend this girl in the office had, she got a huge bonquet of flowers from her boyfriend sent to her at work and she was so happy. Then he didn%26#039;t get me flowers, a card nor a gift on my birthday. I was so hurt. My birthday was yesterday and I was so hurt. This tells me alot about him in my eyes.
How would you feel if you boyfriend didn%26#039;t give you a birthday card or gift?
Thats not COOL!!! I%26#039;d definitely ask why he didn%26#039;t consider your birthday. By him mentioning someone else%26#039;s bf being so nice and considerate, I%26#039;d be really, really ticked off. Try to get some answers from him.
Reply:O gurlie I know how u feel! My boyfriend did the same thing to me a couple months ago - and this was after I made a big deal about his birthday.. although he tried to make up for it, im still hurt about it.

Reply:At least a card would have been nice or him telling you happy birthday. I don%26#039;t generally expect gifts, so when I do get one, I%26#039;m genuinely surprised. But, yeah, it would show that he either forgot or he just isn%26#039;t thoughtful.

Do men like to receive flowers at the office?
I%26#039;m thinking about having flowers delivered to my husbands office for his birthday today. Not a large arrangement, just something small.
Men- if your wife sent you flowers at work, would you be ok with that?
Thanks!
Do men like to receive flowers at the office?
My husband says he%26#039;s not into it, my friend Mike says he doesn%26#039;t see why not. Not being a guy, I won%26#039;t offer a personal opinion.

Reply:Absolutely. Though men tend to prefer what%26#039;s called %26quot;High Style%26quot; or %26quot;Oriental%26quot; arrangements. Bright colors; stay away from pink and pastels. Striking flowers and textures are good - Bird of Paradise, miniature iris, protea, interesting greenery like Bear Grass, ...
Make sure the florist knows this is going to a man.
Reply:no guys dont want flowers at thier office. Any guy that says they do is lying, it would be embarassing to get a boquet of flowers delivered to your place of employment.
Reply:a man person that i work with recieved flowers for his birthday from a girlfriend he was really shocked and happy that he got them :) he said he had never recieved flowers before and he really liked it :)
Reply:I think you should spend the money on some lingerie for you instead and wear it tonight.... also buy some body chocolate or something....
He will like that much more than flowers....
Or atleast my hubby would.
Reply:The only guy I know that got flowers at work was gay, and even HE was embarrassed. Cook him some food or take him out to lunch. Guys like food. Heck, I%26#039;m pretty sure everyone LIKES food.
You could give him a bouquet of food gift cards. I like 7-eleven ones best.
Reply:I%26#039;d like it personally. It%26#039;s a nice surprise. As for the %26quot;men don%26#039;t like flowers%26quot; types, there%26#039;s really not much else you can send him besides food. Which isn%26#039;t a bad idea. If you send your husband some Pizza he%26#039;ll enjoy it and will be able to share that more easily with his co-workers.
Reply:send chocolates. Most flower store sell them. Flowers are more of a womans thing
Reply:My husbands getting flowers in an hour at work. Its our 6th anniversary, I send him flowers all the time to work. Something very small, not feminine and usually with a coffee cup or food of some kind in the gift pack. He loves it.
Reply:bahahahahaha...this is the perfect joke to play on my guy friend. This is a great way to totally EMBARASS him. Thanks for the great idea. As for as sending them to your husband, I think it%26#039;s great, if there is divorce papers in there as well.
Reply:sure, and while you%26#039;re at it, send a really pretty blouse for him to wear.
Reply:My wife did that to me once.
I appreciated her thoughtfulness—I really did, but I didn’t know what the hell I was supposed to do with the flowers. I kept them on my desk that first day, and I just felt like a frickin idiot having them there. I don’t like to draw a lot of attention to myself, and that’s all those things did—draw attention to me. I put them in our break room, and left them there until they died.
Send your husband balloons instead.
Reply:It depends on the guy. We all have our %26quot;love language.%26quot; For me, an internet card from my wife telling me how much she loves me is far greater than getting some flowers. Think about what your husband likes the most. Too often, we give people things that we%26#039;d like to get ourselves.
Reply:I would be embarrassed by the flowers. I don%26#039;t want no stinking flowers.
Reply:Don%26#039;t send flowers, that%26#039;s more of a girl thing. Balloons maybe, but no flowers.
Depending where he works and with whom, you could send pizza, bagels, or something like that. A birthday cake might work best and be the most appropriate.
Reply:I%26#039;m not a big fan of flowers in general. I appreciate the sentiment, but find some other way of expressing it please.
Reply:yes, just not real flowery------keep it simple
Reply:I don%26#039;t care for flowers. They are lost on me. My wife loves them, that%26#039;s cool. No, I would not want to receive flowers. Send me food or drink maybe. Just not really a guy thing. Maybe some guys would like that, but not me.
Reply:No, it%26#039;s gay. We prefer Strippergrams.
Reply:I wanted to do that for my husband also, but just wasn%26#039;t sure it was a very good idea. I compromised with a basket of sliced, chocolate covered fruit arranged to look like a bouquet of flowers (you really have to see it). He loved it!! I believe the site is ediblearrangements.com.
Reply:It would be ok... but I wouldn%26#039;t be thrilled.
Flowers don%26#039;t have the same appeal as ...say... a gift card to an electronic store.
If you wanted something that would %26quot;display%26quot; your affection, anything that lights up, is electronic and flashes would probably be more appreciated.
But, hey, maybe your man likes flowers.
Reply:I%26#039;m not a guy, but i think it would be a very nice thing, and telling your husband that he is special and it would let everyone in the office know that he is special to you. So go for it.
Reply:SURE..WHY NOT?

Girls Birthday...?

Reply:yea, take her to dinner or a movie or something. give her something to remember u by
Reply:Yea I guess... the flowers are nice, but they%26#039;lll die soon. my bf sent me flowers for my bday and it was really sweet. As far the teddy bear, it%26#039;ll be something she can always have that will remind her of you. So yea thats nice also. But what about dinner???

Should nannies buy birthday presents for the dads they work for?
I watch three kids for a very nice family with a mom and a dad. I have been working there for a little over a year. The dad%26#039;s birthday is on Monday and I don%26#039;t know if I should get him something!
I did purchase $18 in art supplies and with the kids made a large book with about eight pictures and stories by the kids. I helped them think of ideas and design the layout of the book. It%26#039;s not exactly professional looking, but there%26#039;s a lot of funny, cute, sentimental stuff in there.
I just don%26#039;t know what else to do for him. For the mom%26#039;s birthday back in October, I brought her flowers and a card. But she%26#039;s a woman so it seems different to me. I don%26#039;t know.
Should nannies buy birthday presents for the dads they work for?
The book you made with the kids should be sufficient, and it was very nice of you. I wouldn%26#039;t get him anything else, except maybe card. I agree, her being a woman makes it different. Since he%26#039;s both your employer and a married man, it%26#039;s a good idea to keep it professional between the two of you.
Reply:From an etiquette standpoint and someone who has used a nanny in the past a card is all that is sufficient. If you go and purchase something you are crossing into grounds of it getting too personal. A card it saying %26quot;you care%26quot; and and that is all that is needed. You stated that you gave that wife some flowers and a card and that is appropriate. The gifting you did with the kids for their Father was quite appropriate and very thoughtful. Good question. A star for you.
Reply:I agree with the other posters here and say that a card is probably just right. Especially these days when in situations like these we need to avoid any impression of impropriety.
Reply:I agree, a card is enough, especially as he%26#039;ll know it was thanks to you the kids made the book.
Reply:I think a nice card would be sufficient.
Reply:maybe you should buy him a tie or a journal. nothing too expensive because it is unprofessional.
Reply:No............
